Sometimes, when the former ex shows interest again after a break it is just a game. They can see that you love them, and may simply be trying to attract attention without actually wanting to get you back. In fact, if your former ex indicates that they wants you back, then chances are, it was the difficult "hard-to-get" game, which has led to an interest in the first place.
Clearly, many people wonder "does my ex want to get back with me?". But the truth is, it is better to get an idea of the situation before acting. If your ex really does want to get back with you then playing hard to get (reasonably) is the best scenario because it will prevent you to get hurt if your ex is not really serious about coming back with you.
